Our History & Experience
The new company had humble beginnings, but as the economy slowly recovered, the company expanded at an extraordinary pace. By 2014 commercial construction in the Southeast, and new multi-family development in particular, was clearly back, and back to stay for a while.
In late 2016 we had a couple big changes. One, we recognized major opportunities to our north, particularly in Charlotte, and two, Matt became the owner. In 2016 Matt and the original owner agreed to set up a separate operation based in Charlotte that Matt would head up. Work in the Carolina’s expanded rapidly and Matt sold back the Georgia portion of TLG to the original owner in 2017. In 2019 we became The Landscape Guys of North Carolina respecting our relationship with the original owner, who became The Landscape Guys of Georgia. Matt ended professional ties with TLG Georgia 12-31-25 and is resuming work all over the southeast as The Landscape Guys.
HOW WE DO IT BETTER:
Amongst our crews, we have foremen and crew members who have worked with The Landscape Guys for more than twenty years. We love our work. The quality of work, and extraordinary production levels are ingrained into our company’s psyche, and envied by our competitors.
This, along with our longstanding relationships with key suppliers (our ability to purchase directly from growers at the optimum price point) is what gives The Landscape Guys its unique competitive edge.

Our Philosophy & What We Do
The Landscape Guys of North Carolina have one main priority. If the job is done right and the customer is happy, we’re ok. Easier said than done, but that’s how it boils down.
We only work for people with whom we enjoy working. We’re very fortunate and work hard to stay that way, and we know full well that our customers pay all our bills. Our customers are extended family, and on any given job, we’re going to be engaged with them for the better part of a year.
We are professional and collaborate on each job to provide beautiful landscapes on time, at a budget that everyone can work with. We strive for excellence every day. You may not be at your best every day, but if you don’t try, you will never be excellent.
Following that strategy for years, we have seen many great things happen, and we believe we have the best customers and employees anywhere.
WHAT WE DO:
We are exclusively engaged in commercial landscape & hardscape, with a particular focus on the multifamily industry. But bottom line if a job needs landscaping we can do it. Quality work on time every time.
We put trees, shrubs, irrigation, pavers, all kinds of scope in the ground for great people who trust us to do it expertly.
A contract isn’t just a sales quota we’re working on; when a customer signs a contract, we know they are entrusting us with a specific piece of work. That trust is the single most important reason for our success. Try to look out for our customers because that trust is important.
